I have very thick, curly, kinky hair, so I deperately needed something salon-quality that would help to condition it. So far, this has been a huge success. It heats up in about 1 minute, and it works exactly like my stylist's. The amount of heat is amazing, and supposedly it will work to steam-dry your hair at the same time so you don't have to blow dry it, but I haven't done that yet. Plus, someone at Ulta told me that still may not be too healthy to do. But at least it's a possibility. My hair is silky smooth,just like when I return from the salon. I really couldn't ask for anything better in a flat iron. It's also nice to know it comes with a 1yr guarantee, that the iron itself is just beautiful (much prettier than the picture here), and that it's for a good cause.
