(More customer reviews)The jury is still out.I am an Af-Am female with shoulder length hair.I'm in the process of transitioning from chemical relaxers and have several inches of new growth.I thought this straightener would be ideal...the prospect of little to no burning of my scalp, particularly around the hairline was convincing.Well, I tried the straightener and what I did find was that the "teeth" pulled my hair out.Not a lot of hair, but enough for me to be concerned about its regular use.I'm not ready to give up on the product, there is a learning curve involved (I think) so I will continue to use when I want to wear a straighter style--but I will be very careful.
