(More customer reviews)This is my first "pro" dryer and I've had it for 1.5 years.In the past, I always bought my dryers at a big box store - usually Conair, Sassoon, Revlon, etc...I did a lot of research before I decided to buy this Babyliss so I was aware of the various reviews (see folica.com).

Overall, it's a fantastic dryer and I will not go back to the type that you can get at a drug store.I am, however, a practical person and not made of money so I don't know that I would ever buy one of those that cost $100 and up.This BabyBliss is a nice compromise.I can't imagine that the high-end ones work THAT much better than this one....I mean it's an apparatus that pushes out air.:-)

I do have to agree with other reviews that the buttons are not strategically placed therefore you end up switching the temperature settings a lot when grabbing the handle.

Also, I heard that Conair makes BabyBliss so perhaps buying a ceramic, tourmaline Conair version wouldn't be all that different...?

I must say that the dryer is indestructible!I can't tell you how many timea it's fallen off my bathroom counter onto my ceramic floor and, other than minor scratches, nothing has happened.The color is also a nice metallic red.
