Now, for the downside - I bought it to replace my chi hairdryer which was 1400 watts and died on me with smoke and *I think* flames. I wanted a higher wattage because I was afraid the chi was overworked.I intentionally bought this particular product because it appears most places online that the wattage of this dryer is 1900.(If you're doing your homework, you'll notice that the 1800 is so named because it's 1800 watts).

HOWEVER, IT IS ONLY 1500 WATTS.

No one explicitly lies about it, but I do think it's deceptive of FHI to call this the 1900 and to not have it be 1900 watts, and I also am not entirely sure how most of the write-ups online say this one is "more powerful" than the 1800, when the wattage is lower.
